Working alongside the refurbishment of a KTA designed rear extension to this Victorian double storey home, the garden was designed to provide a stronger connection between house and pool area and create welcoming and useful spaces therein. Garden beds in sweeps across the new paving address level change between house and garden, productive beds provide abundant produce for the kitchen adjacent, and textural plants provide foreground, middle and distant view, enhancing the depth of this garden.

To the North, the adjacent converted church building creates a sanctuary for more delicate, shade loving species and this area has been redesigned to include a covered seating area, BBQ and built in bench. Seats here and in the garden have been built of repurposed timber from the shutters that previously adorned the house.

At the front, the entry is welcoming with a meandering pathway across the front of the building, weaving amongst deciduous feature trees, low shrubs and sprawling ground covers creating textural contrast and seasonal interest.
